RADICAL EDUCATION – ARTS – POLITICS
Monday, 20 April 2009 at 19.00
Cankarjev dom, M3/M4 Hall
The lecture will present a few starting points and methods examined by Radical Education. We will thus talk about the different ways of co-research, about the connections between art and the broader social environment, about commodification processes and the questions on the representation of “artistic” production by activist collectives in gallery spaces.
Since its very beginning, Radical Education has been considering the possibilities of a political articulation of the cultural and artistic production at a time of a profound systemic crisis of neoliberal capitalism and has been part of the international network of artistic, educational and activist collectives that proceed from practical questions and concepts connected above all to new public spaces, artistic imagination, innovative pedagogical processes and relations between institutions and radical political practices.
