Jasmina Založnik, symposium
26.02.2009 | Jasmina Založnik (1979) graduated in Sociology of Culture and Pedagogy from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. She is a postgraduate student of Intercultural Studies – Comparative Studies of Ideas and Cultures at the University of Nova Gorica and is finishing her MA thesis Body Art in the Territory of Former Yugoslavia: Repolitization of the Body – Subject Between Feminism, Performance Art, Theory and Politics under the mentorship of Marina Gržinić.
Among the more important projects she worked on are: artistic direction of Performa 2006 and Performa 2007, the selection and production of the Slovenian part of the 11th International Festival of Computer Arts, production and coordination of the NagiB – International Experimental Movement Festival 2007, 2008 and 2009.
She is the coordinator of the Seminar of Contemporary Performing Arts at Maska, Ljubljana and a producer at the Association for the Promotion of Women in Culture - City of Women. She is a member of the SoOgledi group, a self-organized group of independent female authors (
http://www.soogledi.blogspot.com/) and is active in various fields of cultural happenings. Her articles have been published in the following magazines: Spekter, MASKA, Arena – Mladi Levi festival newspaper, CoWeb, Večer, Dialogi, Reartikulacija, etc.
